Stallburgalm

Surrounded by four peaks, the Naturfreunde Hut Stallburgalm (1032m) is located on an idyllic alpine meadow beneath the Burgspitz (1429m) in Weyer in Upper Austria's Ennstal. Numerous hiking trails traverse the wooded area, which is characterized by a particularly diverse alpine flora. From the peaks, one has a wonderful panoramic view of the Dead Mountains, the Gesäuse, and the Ybbstal Alps.

Accommodation is offered in six-bed rooms or in a dormitory. There are separate toilet facilities and a washing sink (not separate) with hot water. Dogs are allowed and can stay overnight, while smoking is permitted outside the hut. Mobile phones only work in certain locations; electricity is available.

The hut staff take care of the well-being of the hiking guests with tasty soups, snacks, and pastries. Our hut is managed every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday. During the week, the hut is available for self-caterers.

Due to the good connection (from the Küpfern train station - access about 2 hours), the Stallburgalm is also an ideal travel destination for students and families, making it a great starting point for multi-day tours.
